PolyScope 5 Beta featuring Direct Torque Control

Key Features

  • Constrained freedrive: Improved usability.

  • PolyScope GUI:

    • New safety-rated output functions:

      • 3-Position Enabling Stopped: HIGH when active.

      • Not 3-Position Enabling Stopped: LOW when active.

    • Supports both teach pendant and external 3-position enabling devices.

  • Predefined position: New “Put in box” compact transport position available in Installation → Home.

  • Controller: New built-ins jerk_gain_scaling_set() and jerk_gain_scaling_get() for vibration reduction and smoother motion.

Bug Fixes

  • PolyScope GUI:

    • Fixed language and formatting errors.

    • Runtime exception in Tool Contact node resolved.

  • Pallet Template:

    • Reteaching and kinematics fixes.

    • ReferencePoint, separator point, and action now reliably update.

    • Path and TCP configuration errors corrected.

  • Controller:

    • Fixed slower-than-expected motion in movej with motion v2.

  • Embedded/Safety:

    • IMMI timeout at first start-up fixed.

    • Improved motion tracking for slow oscillations (e.g. weld weaving).

    • Fixed direct update issue from SW5.6–5.9.2 to SW5.20+.

    • Improved low-speed motion performance on UR8 Long and UR15.
